Alagna is a dream resort for advanced skiers, who can take advantage of its high peaks for some thrilling descents

Cable cars take you up the steep verticals of Pianalunga and Passo Salati, and even as high as the top of the Punta Indren glacier (which peaks above 2000 metres).

Skiers at Alagna can also enjoy the fact that heli-skiing – illegal in France – is allowed in Italy, should they want dramatic off-piste descents. Compelling for those that can handle it, Alagna is not one for the novices.
