Ischgl - Austria

With its emphasis on snowboarding and partying Ischgl is perfectly suited to the younger holidaymaker. Just one hour's drive from Innsbruck, Ischgl has hosted some of the world's most prestigious snowboard competitions: including the ISF Snowboard Championships and FIS World Cup.

But Ischgl's main fame comes from its intense night-life. Not only does it feature Austria's only Pacha nightclub, but every year it hosts a pop concert to open the ski season. In the past it has seen Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan - in November 2009 it is Katy Perry.
