La Plagne - France
La Plagne is a collective of eleven resorts in the Tarentaise Valley. It is now most significant for the fact that its centre, Aime La Plagne, is the penultimate stop on the Eurostar, arriving almost exactly seven hours after leaving St Pancras. It is therefore an ideal destination for any skiers with an aversion to flying.
The resorts' own pistes are best suited to intermediates, so those seeking a tougher challenge can buy passes for the Paradiski area which includes Les Arcs and has almost 500 individual pistes.
