As with many of the Savoyard ski resorts, La Tania owes much to the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. La Tania was constructed as a location for housing journalists covering the games. The village, therefore, covers all possible needs and budgets for food, accommodation and so forth.
The point, though, is the skiing, and this is an area where La Tania excels. Part of the largest ski area in the world – Les Trois Vallées – you are only ever a ski lift away from Courchevel, Val Thorens or Méribel. With over five hundred individual pistes to choose from, it interests all of the people all of the time.
