Revelstoke - Canada
Revelstoke is one of Canada's most dramatic skiing resorts. Rather than fencing off its least compromising terrain, Revelstoke revels in it: with excellent heli-skiing facilities. For the uninitiated, this means flying by helicopter to the top of an area which is inaccessible by ski-lift, and skiing down over the woody, bumpy terrain.
The town is as modern and helpful as the terrain is ageless and rugged: an aquatic centre and railway museum mean that families can enjoy their time away from the slopes.
