For those that want a distinctly local and authentic skiing experience, Samoëns provides a modern skiing experience without having to compromise its traditional identity. An ancient market town, Samoëns still holds to enough of its traditions that a skiing holiday there will provide a sense of the indigenous culture. Not the place for nightclubbing teenagers.

On the slopes, Samoëns provides access to the Grand Massif area, which includes 351 individual pistes serviced by 78 ski lifts.
