The world's most famous ski resort, Vail's glamour and name-recognition towers above its competitors.
With access to over two hundred individual pistes, sufficient ski lifts to move 24,000 skiers and snowboarders per hour, and over one thousand instructors employed by the Ski and Snowboard Schools, every possible interest and standard is catered for.
The same is true of the après-ski: there are enough hotels, restaurants, shops and bars to entertain the most particular of interests. For those that can afford it Vail is the all-encompassing family destination.
