Valle Nevado - Chile

A very new resort, founded in 1988, Valle Nevado is one of the growing forces of South American wintersports. With over 100km of trails it has more than four times as many as rival Chilean resort Portillo. Its terrain park for snowboarders is so good that it hosted rounds of the 2005 Boardercross World Cup. It also has heli-skiing opportunities.

Valle Nevado is more accessible than most Andean resorts, just 60km from Santiago International Airport.
