Whistler is the biggest and, by consensus, the best ski resort in North America. Covering two mountains (Whistler-Blackcomb, rather than Whistler, is its real name), it covers over 8,000 acres and over 200 individual pistes.
Within that vast expanse there are opportunities for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities and interests from Ski Schools for the novices to seven powder filled black diamond bowls for the experts.
As expected given its size, Whistler accommodates all après-ski interests too, and at only two hours away from Vancouver airport it is the perfect all-round North American resort.
