Yabuli - China

Yabuli is China's best ski resort and offers a fascinating opportunity to experience Oriental skiing. It is not a particularly large resort: 17 ski lifts service just 20 slopes, but it has undergone recent renovations having hosted the skiing events of the 2009 Winter Universiade (like the Olympics but for student athletes.)

Those that go to Yabuli can enjoy the unusually long snow season, which lasts from October to April, and the pine forests which envelope the slopes.
