Don't underestimate the glare
As cold as it is on the slopes, you cannot afford to forget how brightly the sun shines up there. To combat the glare off the snow – and to save yourself from serious eye damage – you must always ski in goggles or sunglasses.
Goggles or shades?
In most conditions sunglasses are fine – as long as they are wraparounds with plastic lenses – but there will be times when wind, rain or snow demand that you are equipped with goggles, to preserve visibility and protect your face.
