A powerful water-based non-detergent wash for outdoor clothing. Biological and non biological detergents are so powerful that they strip out not only dirt but water repellents from fabrics. Detergents are so powerful that manufacturers state that it can take up to 12 complete rinse cycles to remove residues from fabric. Detergent residues in fabrics make it difficult for water repellent treatments to attach to them. These facts are also true when using fabric conditioners. The only cleaning product that will not strip out water repellents is a pure soap. Granger's Extreme Cleaner is a powerful vegetable-based pure soap wash and provides the perfect key before applying Granger's Extreme Waterproofings. Pure soaps use a high alkalinity to attack and carry away dirt and detergent residues. Suitable for all hand or machine washable clothing including fleeces jumpers anoraks and down-filled items. Also suitable for clothing with breathable linings including GORE-Tex®. Effectively cleans all washable clothing. Enhances the performance and condition of outdoor clothing. Water-based fluorochemical wash-in treatment for synthetic and breathable fabrics. Extreme Waterproofing For Synthetic and Breathable Fabrics is a water-based fluorochemical treatment which mirrors the finish used by manufacturers during production of breathable clothing. A fluorochemical is a chemical finish which can be applied to textiles to give a water oil and stain resistant finish. It is extremely durable and will even resist detergent washing and dry cleaning to a degree. Fluorochemicals contain a positive charge which attracts strongly to the negative charges normally exhibited by synthetic fabrics. The fluorochemical is then held firmly within each individual fibre making it extremely durable but not effecting breathability as it leaves the spaces between each fibre open. Suitable for all machine washable synthetic & breathable clothing. Water repellency rating a maximum 100 ISO5. Leaves no deposit on the fabric. Actually improves the handle of garments. Keeps material looking new for longer. Offers excellent oil and stain repellency. Offers excellent dry soil resistance. Wash-in application ensures total coverage.
