As with anything else, enthusiasts must decide whether they wish to buy or rent their skis. Given the price of skis, buying is a much smarter choice for the regular skier than a beginner or an occasional skier. But experience is just one of the variables which will impact which skis are right for you: height, weight, and the type of skiing (racing, off-piste, etc) you will be enjoying also play a part.

Bearing all of this in mind, buying or renting skis is too complex a process – and requiring too much professional and expert knowledge – to be done online. You will need to travel to ski retailer – whether at home or at your travel destination – to find the right skis for you.
